Brian hails from Upstate New York, his home for 27 years. He attended the University of Rochester, where he served as an undergraduate researcher in Rich Eisenberg’s lab. Brian graduated in 2010 with a B.S. in Chemistry and 2 Ultimate Frisbee Intramural championships, then chose to attend Cornell University for graduate school, where he worked for Pete Wolczanski. After receiving his Ph.D. in chemistry in 2015, Brian moved down south (geographically and in the periodic table) to do research in Alex Miller’s lab.
