Ben grew up in Apex, North Carolina, where he was raised to love Tar Heel basketball, before moving to Chester Springs, Pennsylvania. He completed his undergraduate studies at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. There, he began his chemistry research career in the lab of Dr. William McNamara. Ben’s interests outside of lab include ultimate frisbee, pick-up basketball, and roller coasters.
